QUINTICA
In 2004 Quintica was formed with a business plan to build a classic Service
Management company addressing the three “P’s” People (Training), Process
(Consulting) + Product (Tools). 2004 was spent focusing on taking an ITSM
tool, MARVAL to the SA market. There was a major breakthrough late in the
year when Dimension Data plc started a proof of concept with a view to
displacing their investment in Siebel for their SA business. This turned
into a major order in February 2005.
In 2006 the strategy to enter the People and Process aspects of the business
plan resulted in the acquisition of CSMG, a well established South African
firm concentrating on the Training market. CSMG also brought with it some IP
and skills which were used to develop their Consulting practice.
Quintica rapidly built a reputation for delivering solid and successful ITSM
projects in the SA space and in 2006 started looking further north for new
opportunities. This resulted in them landing their first Africa projects. In
June 2006 after a six month investigation into new markets Quintica opened
their Middle East business based in Dubai.
The 2007 year saw Quintica consolidate their market shares in these regions,
landing some significant projects as well as opening up a strategic R+D
office in Brisbane focusing on the franchising of their training IP into the
Far East market.
2008 will be a significant year for Quintica, with expansions in our product
range, as well as some technology advanced Managed Services being taken to
market.
